Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Development Network and the Business Women Forum to enhance women’s economic empowerment in Jordan

Amman – Jordan – On Tuesday, 10-12-2024, Jordan Development – the Microfinance Network and the official representative of the microfinance sector in Jordan, and the Jordanian Business and Professional Women Forum signed a memorandum of understanding, aiming at joint cooperation for strategic plans for the coming year, including implementing awareness activities and workshops, holding dialogue seminars, and exchanging experiences, especially those related to raising women’s capabilities and skills and participation in creating job opportunities and empowering them economically, in addition to raising the productive capacity of women in their different geographical locations.

The head of the administrative body of the forum, Dr. Reem Al-Baghdadi, said that the new partnership with the Jordan Development Network is an important strategy in light of the successes achieved by Tanmeyah recently in actual employment plans in the governorates, especially for women, and it is an important opportunity to exchange experiences, especially those related to financial awareness for women. In turn, the Director General of the Development Network, Ms. Nisreen Al-Nasser, stressed the importance of the partnership that reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with various sectors, and emphasizing joint teamwork, especially the forum, which was distinguished in providing added benefit and distinguished services to the targeted parties. She said that the memorandum represents a qualitative step towards integrating national efforts towards one goal, which is to emphasize the comprehensiveness of services provided to all individuals and segments of society, regardless of their geographical locations in our country.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding was attended by Her Excellency Rabia Al-Ajarmah, First Deputy Chairwoman of the Administrative Body, Ms. Rasha Laswi, Member of the Administrative Body of the Forum, and the Executive Director of the Forum, Ms. Aida Naji, and from the Development Company, the Development Team from the Administrative Department and the Projects and Training Department.
