About Tanmeyah Network

Tanmeyah - the Microfinance Institutions Network in Jordan was established in 2007 and officially registered as a non-profit organization with the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It serves as the official representative of the microfinance sector in Jordan.
Tanmeyah primarily aims to provide a unified and conducive regulatory environment to sustainably and effectively support and develop the microfinance industry on behalf of its member institutions. It seeks to implement best practices for microfinance, integrating it as an essential part of Jordan's formal financial system. Additionally, Tanmeyah works to raise awareness of the importance of microfinance and its vital role in offering sustainable solutions to the unemployment challenges faced by communities. It also proposes alternative solutions to encourage innovation and creativity while promoting awareness of self-employment and entrepreneurship as viable alternatives to address the escalating unemployment issue in communities each year.

Our Message

Tanmeyah Jordan Microfinance Network, the official representative of microfinance sector in Jordan, consists of Nine financial institutions licensed by the Central Bank of Jordan (Jordanian Microfinance Company- Tamweelcom, The Women's Fund for Microfinance, National Microfinance, Al-Namothajiah for Islamic Microfinance, Ahli Microfinance, Al-Ameen Microfinance, Finca for Microfinance, and Partners for Microfinance-VITAS and Microfinance Department in UNRWA.
These institutions adopt global best practices in microfinance through an extensive branch network across the Kingdom. The microfinance sector directly employs over 2,500 staff across its operational centres.

Developing a structured, unified, and conducive environment for the growth and advancement of the sustainable microfinance industry in Jordan through the collaboration of all microfinance institutions. This collective effort aims to enhance and improve the sector's efficiency, while working together to provide support and assistance to various segments of society. The emphasis is placed on the critical importance of microfinance and its vital role in the Jordanian economy.

Mrs. Nisreen Al-Nasser Al-Khasawneh

General Manager

is a distinguished professional holding a Master's degree in International Political Economy with honours from Yarmouk University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. her career IN Business intelligence , which spans over 18 years, Mrs. Al-Khasawneh has gained extensive international experience and leadership skills in various international companies and the public sector. She has held prestigious positions in major companies abroad, including in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, she has worked at the Jordanian Diplomatic Institute in the Development and Modernization Department at the start of her career, served as a research assistant at Yarmouk University, and worked as a legal translator for the Jordanian Translators Association.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she served as a permanent consultant with several non-profit organizations, focusing on strategic plans for remote work and human resource investment. She launched the national entrepreneurial project "Tours in the Governorates," a pioneering project that explored Jordan's governorates in depth, focusing on identifying the needs of women and youth and highlighting their productive and entrepreneurial projects. This effort resulted in creating numerous job opportunities for women and enhancing the capacities of many marginalized groups in areas distant from the capital, Amman, positively impacting the lives of around 100 people.
Mrs. Al-Khasawneh has also made significant contributions through her contracts with major international companies and academies to direct new investments to Jordan, revitalizing the economic cycle and preparing investment maps and new investment products. Her passion lies in combining excellence and creativity to drive positive economic outcomes and benefit the broader community, thereby supporting investment in the Kingdom.
In her current role as the General Manager of Tanmeyah - Jordan Microfinance Network, Mrs. Al-Khasawneh represents all the largest official microfinance institutions registered by the Central Bank of Jordan. Previously, she was an integral member of the team of economists working collaboratively on formulating the National Financial Inclusion Strategy at the Central Bank of Jordan. Additionally, she actively participates as a member of the Economic Modernization Team of the National Commission for Women.
Mrs. Al-Khasawneh's career has been characterized by her proficiency in management, business development, human resources management, and projects empowering individuals through strategic engagement with donors and international investors, earning recognition in various international forums. She has played a prominent role in attracting companies to establish a permanent presence in Jordan, facilitating employment opportunities for Jordanians both within and outside the country. Furthermore, she has provided consultancy services to numerous NGOs, offering her expertise in capital management and enhancing women's presence in entrepreneurial projects and their impact on the economy.
