About Tanmeyah Network

Tanmeyah - the Microfinance Institutions Network in Jordan was established in 2007 and officially registered as a non-profit organization with the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It serves as the official representative of the microfinance sector in Jordan.
Tanmeyah primarily aims to provide a unified and conducive regulatory environment to sustainably and effectively support and develop the microfinance industry on behalf of its member institutions. It seeks to implement best practices for microfinance, integrating it as an essential part of Jordan's formal financial system. Additionally, Tanmeyah works to raise awareness of the importance of microfinance and its vital role in offering sustainable solutions to the unemployment challenges faced by communities. It also proposes alternative solutions to encourage innovation and creativity while promoting awareness of self-employment and entrepreneurship as viable alternatives to address the escalating unemployment issue in communities each year.

Our Message

Tanmeyah Jordan Microfinance Network, the official representative of microfinance sector in Jordan, consists of Nine microfinance companies institutions licensed by the Central Bank of Jordan.
(Microfund for Women, Jordan Microfinance Company (Tamweelcom), National Microfinance, Al Ahli Microfinance, Vitas, FINCA Microfinance, Al-Ameen Microfinance, Al Namothajiya Islamic Microfinance, and Department of Microfinance UNRWA.)
These institutions adopt global best practices in microfinance through an extensive branch network across the Kingdom. The microfinance sector directly employs over 2,500 staff across its operational centers.

Developing a structured, unified, and conducive environment for the growth and advancement of the sustainable microfinance industry in Jordan through the collaboration of all microfinance institutions. This collective effort aims to enhance and improve the sector's efficiency, while working together to provide support and assistance to various segments of society. The emphasis is placed on the critical importance of microfinance and its vital role in the Jordanian economy.

The importance of microfinance industry is constantly increasing in steadily basis among different economies being an important and essential component in the texture of the financial structure, such recognition was displayed as a result of the vibrant role of the microfinance industry lifting the targeted communities from the cycle of poverty to less poverty levels leading to different positive socioeconomic effects on the communities.

Mrs. Nisreen Al-Nasser Al-Khasawneh

General Manager

Nisreen Al-Nasser Al-Khasawneh is a distinguished professional holding Master degree in International Political Economy, graduating with honor from Yarmouk University. Throughout her career spanning over 20 years, Al-Khasawneh has gained a multitude of international experiences and leadership skills in various international companies, non-profit organizations, and the government sector. She held prestigious positions in well-known companies outside Jordan, in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates, in addition to her work at the Jordanian Diplomatic Institute as an Institutional Development and Modernization Department.

She began her professional journey at Yarmouk University as a Research and Development Assistant and at the Jordanian Translators Association as a Legal Translator. She worked as a consultant with several non-profit organizations related to institutional development, human resource investment, and remote work plans during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She launched the entrepreneurial national project in the kingdom, "Tours in the Governorates," a pioneering project that precisely explored Jordan's governorates, focusing on identifying the needs of women and youth , highlighting their productive and entrepreneurial projects. This effort resulted in creating many job opportunities for women and networking entrepreneurial youth, as well as enhancing the capacities of many marginalized groups in remote areas away from the concentration of opportunities in the capital, Amman, positively impacting many individuals' lives.

Ms. Al Khasawneh also made significant contributions through her contracts with major international companies and academies, directing new investments to Jordan to revitalize the economic cycle and prepare investment maps and new investment products. Her passion lies in uniting excellence and creativity to drive positive economic outcomes, benefiting the community more broadly and supporting investment in the kingdom.

In her current role as General Manager of Tanmeyah - the Microfinance Network in Jordan, Ms. Al-Khasawneh serves as the official representative of all and the largest registered microfinance institutions by the Central Bank of Jordan. She is an integral member of the team of economists who work cohesively on drafting the national financial inclusion strategy at the Central Bank of Jordan. Furthermore, she actively participates as a member of the Economic Modernization Committee of the National Women's Affairs Committee.

Ms. Al-Khasawneh's career has been marked by her proficiency in management, business development, and empowering human resources through strategic communication with international donors and investors, earning recognition in numerous international forums. She played a prominent role in attracting companies to establish a permanent presence in Jordan and facilitating employment opportunities for Jordanians both inside and outside Jordan. Additionally, she has provided consultancy services to numerous non-governmental organizations, offering her expertise in capital management and enhancing women's presence in entrepreneurial projects and their impact on the economy.
