A distinguished delegation from the Jordanian Microfinance Company “Tamweelcom” participated in the 17th Sanabel Conference 2026. Mr. Bassem Khanfar, Chief Executive Officer of Tamweelcom and Chairman of Sanabel during his tenure, delivered the opening remarks, officially announcing the launch of the conference and its panel discussions, and highlighting the critical phase the microfinance sector is currently experiencing in the region.
Mr. Issam Shnoudeh, Chief Operating Officer of Tamweelcom, also participated as a key speaker in a specialized session on Digital Financial Services and the DFS Standards, where he discussed opportunities for innovation in digital finance, associated risks such as over-indebtedness and the misuse of technology, and the role of standards in strengthening client protection and institutional sustainability.
In addition, Mr. Shnoudeh served as a session moderator in a panel addressing over-indebtedness, which explored structural challenges across Arab markets and practical solutions to mitigate risks while promoting responsible growth.
