Sanabel 2026 Conference was launched on February 10, 2026, in Sharm El-Sheikh and continued over two days, February 10–11, bringing together a distinguished group of leaders in the microfinance sector from across the Arab world.

Mr. Bassem Khanfar, Chairman of the Board of the Arab Network for Microfinance “Sanabel” (during his tenure), and Chairman of Tanmeyah, delivered the opening speech, which received wide acclaim for its clear strategic vision and insightful analysis of the challenges facing the sector in the coming phase.

Khanfar emphasized that the current timing is critically important amid the rapid changes taking place in the markets, stressing that the key challenge lies in achieving inclusive and sustainable growth that serves clients and strengthens institutional stability.

He also noted that some Arab markets are currently experiencing a noticeable slowdown, which calls for bold rethinking and a shift toward preventive solutions with a strong focus on client protection and sector sustainability.
