Tanmeyah Affirms Its Leadership in Supporting Jordan’s Economy and Promoting Financial Inclusion in Q3 2025

Tanmeyah continues to play a leading role in supporting the national economy, empowering individuals, communities, and women, enhancing microfinance, creating job opportunities, and expanding financial inclusion across Jordan.

1. Financial Inclusion and Branch Network

According to Tanmeyah’s third-quarter report for 2025, the total number of active microfinance beneficiaries reached 382,262, with 67% residing outside Amman. This reflects the network’s success in expanding its services and reaching diverse segments of society.

Tanmeyah’s 204 branches across all governorates enable the effective and inclusive delivery of microfinance services through:

  • Providing diverse and innovative financial products tailored to clients’ needs at various stages of their business development.
  • Financing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to create job opportunities and stimulate economic growth.
  • Supporting rural communities by creating economic opportunities that improve living standards.
  • Promoting financial literacy to ensure project sustainability and strengthen clients’ financial resilience.

All Tanmeyah member institutions are licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of Jordan, ensuring transparency and client protection in line with national regulatory frameworks.


2. Women’s Empowerment and Entrepreneurship

The report highlighted that 72% of active clients are women, representing over 289,000 female beneficiaries contributing to Jordan’s economic growth.

Tanmeyah implements several targeted initiatives to support women entrepreneurs, including:

  • Training programs for women to start and grow sustainable businesses.
  • Bazaars and exhibitions that showcase beneficiaries’ products and open new market opportunities.
  • Capacity-building programs in digital finance, financial literacy, credit awareness, responsible borrowing, and microfinance regulations.
  • Health and life insurance coverage to enhance beneficiaries’ financial security and stability.

Tanmeyah emphasizes that women’s empowerment is a cornerstone of inclusive and sustainable economic growth, striving to make every woman a partner in development and a story of success worth celebrating.


3. Employment and Job Creation

The report also revealed that the microfinance sector employs around 3,000 staff members, 51% of whom are women, many holding leadership positions across various governorates.

This dedicated workforce operates through Tanmeyah’s 204 branches across Jordan, ensuring broad access to financial services and contributing to job creation and economic inclusion.
