Ms. Nisreen Al-Naser Al-Khasawneh, General Manager of Tanmyah – the National Microfinance Network in Jordan, participated in the closing session of the 17th Sanabel Conference 2026, under the theme:
“The Power of Networks: Connecting the Microfinance Ecosystem in the MENA Region Towards a Collaborative Path for Expansion.”

During the session, Al-Khasawneh highlighted Tanmyah’s experience as a pioneering national model with over 30 years of supporting and stabilizing Jordan’s microfinance sector. She explained that this institutional legacy is built on several key pillars that ensure the network’s stability and sustainability, most notably the regulatory framework governing its members as institutions licensed by the Central Bank of Jordan, sound corporate governance led by a Board of Directors composed of sector experts, and a participatory decision-making approach that ensures sustainable economic and social impact. She also emphasized that Tanmyah’s role extends beyond institutional support to addressing unemployment challenges, whether through promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment or by providing direct job opportunities through its member microfinance institutions and branches across the country.
Al-Khasawneh concluded by stressing the importance of integrating and collaborating among national networks to tackle shared regional challenges, affirming that collective action is the path to broader impact and greater sustainability.
This presence reaffirms Tanmeyah’s position as a national reference with regional influence and as a key partner in strengthening the microfinance sector across the region
