Tanmeyah Network offers a training course on skills for interacting with people with disabilities of all types (including intellectual and mental disabilities, physical disabilities, visual impairments, hearing impairments, and multiple disabilities). Participants receive both theoretical and practical training on essential skills for effective communication and interaction with people with disabilities. The program also educates participants about the various types of disabilities and their characteristics, enabling them to communicate effectively and provide outstanding services to individuals with disabilities.

Day 1: General Concepts
- Understanding disability: definition and concepts
- Historical development of disability movements and the current status of people with disabilities in the Arab world
- Types of disabilities and their characteristics
- Needs of people with disabilities based on their type of disability
- Pre-assessment
Day 2: People with Disabilities and the Law
- International human rights conventions
- Rights of people with disabilities in relevant international agreements
- Introduction to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and its articles
- The Optional Protocol to the CRPD
- The UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its mechanisms for monitoring states’ implementation of the convention
- Role of civil society organizations in promoting the rights of people with disabilities
- Role of media in raising awareness and promoting the rights of people with disabilities
- Overview of national disability laws
- CRPD-related agreements
Day 3: Essential Interaction Skills with People with Disabilities
- Interaction skills for working with people with disabilities, considering psychological and social factors
- Practical applications of the CRPD
- Communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) and their practical implementation.

- Promoting societal awareness about etiquette in interactions with people with disabilities, fostering understanding of essential skills for institutions within the Tanmeyah Network as part of its comprehensive inclusion strategy.
- Creating accessible and disability-friendly environments that enable individuals with disabilities to exercise their rights in education, work, and social participation. This initiative reflects Tanmeyah Network’s commitment to addressing both physical and psychological needs to support a disability-friendly society.
- Acquiring critical skills for interacting with customers with disabilities, including skills in communication, reception, dialogue, and discussion.
