Tanmeyah Organized panel discussion about Financial Inclusion for refugees
Amman: Tanmeyah – Jordan Microfinance Network in collaboration with “NPM” Platform for Finance Inclusive in Netherland, one of the leading national platform in inclusive finance sector worldwide, organized a workshop for “Financial Inclusion for Refugees”. The workshop has continued for a two days, with participation of several MFIs that are member’s at “Tanmeyah”, also some MFIs and institutions from Lebanon, who already have a good experience in financial inclusion for refugees.
The discussion focused on the prospects of including Syrian refugees in financial services, to improve their income by finding and providing efficient facilities that shall enhance their lifestyle and the living conditions of the refugees.
“Tanmeyah – Jordan Microfinance Network” continue its efforts in supporting and promoting the microfinance sector through focusing on the importance of the microfinance industry in Jordan and its increasing developmental role in the local communities. Through the provision of various tools to improve living standards, which will support the Jordanian national economy and complementing of government efforts to influence the challenges of poverty and unemployment.
As a representative of the microfinance sector and under the umbrella of the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ), “Tanmeyah” already participated in the preparation of the financial inclusion strategy, in collaboration with many of stakeholders, which aims to reach the financial services to different segments of the community. For the effect that it has on the financial, social and political stability and economic development, as well as the protection of the financial consumer.
Tanmeyah’s mission is to facilitate the creation of an enabling environment for the development of sustainable microfinance industry in Jordan through the participation of all stakeholders, and to become active network that effectively supports the microfinance industry in Jordan.

Tanmeyah – Jordan Microfinance Network was established and formally registered as a non-profit institution at the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2007.
